Smithfield Tree Day May 6, 2017
The Smithfield Conservation Commission will hold their annual tree sale on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the front of McCabe School on Pleasant View Avenue.
This year the event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will run until either the plants sell out or noon. We ask that there be no early birds.
This year the commission is offering a summer lilac paired with the following native plants; Field Pussytoes a native flower which grows to twelve inches and attracts butterflies or a Yellow Wild Indigo. This plant can grow to three feet tall and has small yellow flowers during the months of May and June.
In addition the commission has a few plants such as Beach Plum, False Sunflower and Winterberry.
As in the past the plants will be offered in sets of two with the cost being $10.00/pair there will be no mixing or matching and the sale is for Smithfield town residents with a limit of one set per family.
The commission looks forward to seeing you on May 6th.
