the minutes of the open session of the September 24, 2009 Town Council meeting
be approved, as recorded.

Licenses and
Permits--Consider and act upon the following matters:
A.
Consider
approving a new Holiday Sales License for Hai T. Le, d/b/a “Queen Nails and
Spa”, 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, pending compliance with all State regulations
and local ordinances.
B.
Consider
approving a new Victualling License for David Cesario, d/b/a “Dave’s
Marketplace”, 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, pending compliance with all State
regulations, local ordinances, and final approval from the Town Building
Official’s Office and RI Health Department.
C.
Consider
approving a new Holiday Sales License for David Cesario, d/b/a “Dave’s
Marketplace”, 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, pending compliance with all State
regulations and local ordinances.
D.
Consider the
approval of a One-Day Beer and Wine License for Bryant University, 1150 Douglas
Pike, Smithfield, for a “Chinese Moon Festival Celebration” to be held on
October 8, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the George E. Bello Center for
Information and Technology, pending compliance with State regulations and local
ordinances.

Hearings--Consider and act upon the following matters:

Consider
scheduling a Public Hearing for October 20, 2009, to amend the Town’s Noise
Ordinance.

authorizing the police department to solicit bids for local area network
hardware upgrades funded through a COPS grant.
B.
Consider,
discuss and act upon a bid award for a new Fire Department Medic Truck.

discuss and act upon a possible reappointment to the Substance Abuse Prevention
Task Force:
