A.   Move that the minutes of the open session of the September 15, 2009 Town Council meeting and the minutes of the open session of the September 24, 2009 Town Council meeting be approved, as recorded.

VI.          Licenses and Permits--Consider and act upon the following matters: 

A.   Consider approving a new Holiday Sales License for Hai T. Le, d/b/a “Queen Nails and Spa”, 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, pending compliance with all State regulations and local ordinances.

B.   Consider approving a new Victualling License for David Cesario, d/b/a “Dave’s Marketplace”, 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, pending compliance with all State regulations, local ordinances, and final approval from the Town Building Official’s Office and RI Health Department.

C.   Consider approving a new Holiday Sales License for David Cesario, d/b/a “Dave’s Marketplace”, 371 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, pending compliance with all State regulations and local ordinances.

D.   Consider the approval of a One-Day Beer and Wine License for Bryant University, 1150 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, for a “Chinese Moon Festival Celebration” to be held on October 8, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the George E. Bello Center for Information and Technology, pending compliance with State regulations and local ordinances.

VII.         Public Hearings--Consider and act upon the following matters:

A.   Consider scheduling a Public Hearing for October 20, 2009, to amend the Town’s Noise Ordinance.

IX.          New Business--Consider and act upon the following matters:

A.   Consider authorizing the police department to solicit bids for local area network hardware upgrades funded through a COPS grant.

B.   Consider, discuss and act upon a bid award for a new Fire Department Medic Truck.

C.   Consider, discuss and act upon a possible reappointment to the Substance Abuse Prevention Task Force:

1.            Mike Benedetti (term expiring December, 2010).
