A.   Move that the minutes of the June 23, 2009 Town Council Meeting and closed session be approved, as recorded and that the closed session minutes be sealed.

VI.          Licenses and Permits: To consider and act upon the following matters: 

A.   Consider approving a new Holiday License for James P. Melvin, Sr. d/b/a “Tire Pros of R.I.”, pending compliance with all State regulations and local ordinances.

B.   Consider approving the renewal of a Pool Table License for Bryant University Student Center, 1150 Douglas Pike, pending compliance with all State regulations and local ordinances.

C.   Consider approving the renewal of a Peddler’s License for A. Joseph Matteo d/b/a “Jameson, Inc.”, to sell Christmas Trees, wreaths, flowers, plants, etc. from the parking lot of the Apple Valley Mall on Putnam Pike, pending compliance with all State regulations and local ordinances.

VII.         Public Hearings:  To consider and act upon the following matters:

A.   Consider scheduling a Show Cause Hearing on August 4, 2009, to consider revocation or other sanction concerning the victualing license of Isabella’s Restaurant.

B.   Consider scheduling a Public Hearing on September 15, 2009, to consider and act upon the Churchill and Banks zoning amendment application.

C.   Consider Scheduling a Public Hearing on August 4, 2009 to consider and act upon the Historic Preservation Commission.

D.   Conduct a Public Hearing to consider amendments to the Animal Control Nuisance Abatement Ordinance. more info

E.   Conduct a Public Hearing to consider amending the Comprehensive Plan, as recommended by the Planning Board (Hearing to be continued to a later date).more info

F.    Conduct a Public Hearing to consider amending the Zoning Ordinance, as recommended by the Planning Board (Hearing to be continued to a later date). more info

G.   Conduct a Public Hearing to consider adopting a woodland conservation ordinance (Hearing to be continued to a later date).more info

A.   Consider, discuss and act upon Friends of Smithfield Cemetery/Eisenhower Road request.

B.   Consider, discuss and act upon setting a work session date to review proposed Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance amendments to plats and lots as listed:

E.   Reconvene in open session to announce any closed session votes required to be disclosed pursuant to RI General Laws, Sec. 42-46-4.
