Proposed Ordinance
Amendment – Fire Prevention
Chapter 198, Part 5 of the Smithfield Code of Ordinances (198-152 – 198-158)
Article XX, FALSE ALARMS, Smithfield Fire Department
Proposed amendment clarifies language to reflect changes to definitions and
requirements for false alarm fees, fee allocation, fee penalties, and the
responsibilities of the property owner.
Proposed Ordinance Amendment – Fire Prevention

All
interested persons are invited to be present at the time and place above stated.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
by the Smithfield Town Council
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, by the Town Council
of Smithfield being the Licensing Board in said Town, that in accordance with
Smithfield Town Ordinances, Chapter 236: Licensing, Business § 263-3 Hours
Generally, and RI General Laws § 5-24-1, an application for permission to extend
hours of operation until 2:00 a.m. for Joseph Choquette d/b/a “Ronzio Pizza”,
located at Bryant University, 1150 Douglas Pike, in the Town of Smithfield will
be heard by said Licensing Board.
The above named application will be in order for a hearing at a meeting of the
Town Council on the 17th Day of February, 2009, at 7:00 P.M. in the Council
Chamber, Smithfield Town Hall, 64 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, at which time and
place all remonstrants may make their objections. Interested persons requiring
special accommodations or assistance are requested to notify the Town Manager’s
Office (401-233-1010) at least 48 hours in advance of said meeting.
